RESOLUTION 06-126

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING HOMER ACCELERATED WATER AND SEWER PROGRAM (HAWSP) FUNDS TO PAY THE PROJECT COSTS FOR THE DEFERRED WATER ASSESSMENTS FOR LOTS INCLUDED IN THE HILLSIDE ACRES WATER AND SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND WATER AND SEWER RESERVE FUNDS TO PAY THE PROJECT COSTS FOR THE DEFERRED WATER AND/OR SEWER ASSESSMENTS FOR LOTS INCLUDED IN THE EAST END ROAD WATER AND/OR SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.

WHEREAS, Council adopted Resolution 06-92 on July 24, 2006, which authorized deferred assessments for the Hillside Acres Water and Sewer Improvement Project and the East End Road Water and/or Sewer Improvement Project; and

WHEREAS, A public hearing was held during the Regular City Council meeting on August 28, 2006 regarding said deferred assessments; and

WHEREAS, The were a total of 19 parcels benefitting from the off-site extension of the Hillside Acres Water and Sewer Improvement project for water only and 18 of which shall have a deferred assessment of $4,895.00 and one subdivided parcel with a deferred assessment of $90,825.00; and

WHEREAS, There were a total of 54 service stubouts installed on East End Road for a total cost, with overhead, of $138,721.68, shared equally figures to be $2,568.92 per service stub out.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Homer City Council hereby authorizes the HAWSP FUNDS to pay the project costs associated with the deferred water assessments for lots included in the Hillside Acres Water and Sewer Improvement Project and for the Water and Sewer Reserve Funds to pay the project costs for the deferred water and/or sewer assessments for lots included in the East End Road Water and/or Sewer Improvement Project and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all associated documents.

PASSED and ADOPTED by the Homer City Council on this 11th day of September, 2006.
