RESOLUTION 06-13(A)

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL ENCOURAGING ALL LAND OWNERS AND STAKEHOLDERS IN THE TOWN CENTER TO WORK COOPERATIVELY AND COORDINATE THEIR EFFORTS, SO THAT INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENTS COMPLEMENT AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER AND REFLECT A BROADER OVERALL TOWN CENTER VISION[, AS CONCEPTUALLY ILLUSTRATED IN THE TOWN CENTER DEVELOPMENT PLAN. ]

WHEREAS, It has been acknowledged by all landowners participating in creating the Town Center Development Plan, that as a point of fact, they do support the Town Center Development Plan; and

WHEREAS, Participants in the Town Center Development Plan recognized the need to encourage mixed uses, and agreed on the following Guiding Principles:

WHEREAS, It has been further recognized by landowners participating in the Town Center Development Plan that trading property or moving property lines, was an acceptable option to facilitate designing project developments to incorporate concepts in the Town Center Vision, as conceptually illustrated.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Homer City Council hereby encourages all land owners and stakeholders in the Town Center to work cooperatively and coordinate their efforts, so that independent developments complement and support each other, and reflect a broader overall Town Center vision[, as conceptually illustrated in the Town Center Development Plan].

PASSED AND APPROVED by the Homer City Council this 23rd day of January, 2006.
