RESOLUTION 06-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE CITY OF HOMER RECORD
RETENTION SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE RETENTION OF DIGITAL RECORDING OF MEETINGS.
WHEREAS, A digital recording system has been purchased and replaces the electronic tape recording of
City meetings held in the Council Chambers; and
WHEREAS, Tape recording will still be utilized for recording meetings not held in the Council Chambers,
as backup or in digital recording system failures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby amends the City of Homer Record
Retention Schedule as follows:
TAPE AND DIGITAL RECORDS
Audio and Video Tape Recordings and Digital Recording (CD) of Meetings includes governing body, boards, commissions and committees. This also includes public hearings. | off (office) 1 (year)

City Clerk's Files. Due to the fragile nature of magnetic media, tapes and CDs should never serve as permanent record. Best to not recycle tapes, generally speaking the tapes are not of a quality that recycling would be of benefit. |
