RESOLUTION 06-39

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL THAT SATURDAY, JUNE 3, 2006 BE THE SECOND ANNUAL COMMUNITY PARK DAY.

WHEREAS, It is a goal of the City of Homer to enhance the beauty of the community; and

WHEREAS, Parks and Trails fulfill the health and well being of its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Community Park Day would increase awareness of Homer’s commitment to parks and trails; and

WHEREAS, National Trails Day is June 3^rd and there will be other community trails events taking place that day as well ; and

WHEREAS, The City Council authorizes the Parks and Recreation Commission to proceed with the organization of this event; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Homer Alaska authorizing June 3, 2006 as Homer’s Second Annual Community Park Day and that the Parks and Recreation Commission is hereby authorized to proceed with organization of this event.
