RESOLUTION 06-48
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL PROVIDING DIRECTION TO THE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, The Homer Economic Development Advisory Commission was reactivated via Resolution
06-20 on February 27, 2006; and
WHEREAS, The Commission's basic duties are delineated in Homer City Code Chapter 1.78; and
WHEREAS, The recommendations of this Commission are extremely important with direct impact on
the City Council and therefore, on the City of Homer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby provides direction to the
Economic Development Advisory Commissions as follows:
1. Develop incentives to bring more fishermen to town, sport and commercial.
2. Develop ways and means to create more tourism to town.
3. Create more sport fishing.
4. Look at the possibility of meeting twice a month to facilitate making greater progress and thereby
have more frequent communication with the Mayor and City Council.
5. Commission provide input to the Mayor and Council on other economic development ideas and incentives.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL this 24th day of April, 2006.
