RESOLUTION 06-78(S)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE RENEWAL OF THE FY 2007 JAIL SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $416,243.67 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Jail Contact with the State of Alaska for FY 2006 was $378,403.34 and generated $ 361,203.00 in revenue for the City of Homer for FY 2006 and is budgeted; and

WHEREAS, The amount for FY 2007 is a ten percent (10%) increase or $416,243.67 or an increase of $37,840.33; and

WHEREAS, Chief of Police Robl recommends approval and acceptance of this renewal.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska approves and accepts the renewal of the Jail Service Contract for FY 2007 with the State of Alaska in the amount of $416,243.67 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
