RESOLUTION 06-92
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING HOMER
ACCELERATED WATER AND SEWER PROGRAM DEFERRED WATER
ASSESSMENTS FOR LOTS INCLUDED IN THE HILLSIDE ACRES WATER AND
SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING WATER AND SEWER
RESERVE FUNDS DEFERRED WATER AND/OR SEWER ASSESSMENTS FOR LOTS
INCLUDED IN THE EAST END ROAD WATER AND/OR SEWER IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF AUGUST 28, 2006.
WHEREAS, During the East End Road Water and/or Sewer Improvement Project there were
water and sewer service stubouts installed for certain parcels not currently served and which
were not included in any of the Assessment Districts; and
WHEREAS, There were a total of 54 service stubouts installed on East End Road for a total
cost, with overhead, of $138,721.65, shared equally figures to be $2,568.92 per service stub out;
and
WHEREAS, During the Hillside Acres Water and Sewer Improvement Project the water
mainline was extended through and/or along several benefitting properties what were not part of
the assessment district; and
WHEREAS, The Hillside Acres water mainline extension was necessary to provided adequate
pressures and flows to the assessment district; and
WHEREAS, The were a total of 19 parcels benefitting from the off-site extension 18 of which
shall have a deferred assessment of $4,895.00 and one with a deferred assessment of $90,825.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Homer City Council hereby authorizes
Homer Accelerated Water and Sewer Program Deferred water and/or sewer assessments for lots
in East End Road or the Hillside Acres Water and/or Sewer Assessment Districts that were not
part of the Assessment District, Setting a public hearing date of August 28, 2006.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Homer City Council on this 24th day of July, 2006.
