RESOLUTION 07-103

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE DESIGN SURVEY/PLATTING PREPARATION/PERMITTING FOR THE NEW CITY HALL/TOWN SQUARE TO THE FIRM OF SEABRIGHT SURVEY OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $65,288.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The City Council selected Jay-Brant General Contractors as the GC/CM contractor, approving their design team (including Seabright Survey) as the most qualified; and

WHEREAS, The City has determined that a 10% conceptual design should be completed before continuing with final design; and

WHEREAS, Public Works has established a scope of work and schedule for the Seabright Survey’s portion of the 10% conceptual design; and

WHEREAS, Public Works has reviewed and approved the cost of this work, determining that a reasonable cost for this work is $65,288.00; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Seabright Survey of Homer, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the Survey/Platting/Permitting Contract for the New City Hall/Town Square to the firm of Seabright Survey of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $65,288.00 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.
