RESOLUTION 07-17

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF (HARP) FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING MATCHING FUNDS FOR GRANTS RELATED TO TRAILS DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY OF HOMER.

WHEREAS, Homer voters have approved spending HARP funds for trails development; and

WHEREAS, City of Homer planning staff has indicated an interest in applying for trail development grants; and

WHEREAS, These trail development grants generally require matching funds from the applicant; and

WHEREAS, The HARP fund balance is sufficient to provide some funds for these grants.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Homer City Council authorizes the expenditure of up to $50,000.00 for the purpose of securing trail development grants to be used within the City.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 8th day of January, 2007.
