RESOLUTION 07-59

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PAINT BRUSH BOOSTER STATION PROJECT TO THE FIRM OF TWIN PEAKS CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF ANCHOR POINT, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $77,965.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer News on March 21 and 28, 2007, in the Peninsula Clarion on March 24, 2007, and sent to plans rooms and posted on the City Clerk's Project Internet Web Site; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2007 and two sealed bids were received by the City Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, Twin Peaks Construction, Inc., of Anchor Point, Alaska submitted the overall lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $77,965.00; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Twin Peaks Construction, Inc. of Anchor Point, Alaska from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the contract for the Paint Brush Booster Station Project to the firm of Twin Peaks Construction, Inc., of Anchor Point, Alaska in the amount of $77,965.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 14th day of May, 2007.
