RESOLUTION 07-64(A)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF VIDEO/SECURITY EQUIPMENT AT THE HOMER PUBLIC LIBRARY TO THE FIRM OF PUFFIN ELECTRIC OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,385.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

            WHEREAS, The Requests for Proposals were advertised in the Homer News on April 12 and April 19, and in the Peninsula Clarion on April 14, 2007; and 

            WHEREAS, Sealed proposals were due by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2007 and two (2) sealed bid were received by City Clerk; and 

            WHEREAS, The lowest responsible and responsive Bidder is the firm of Puffin Electric of Homer, Alaska submitting a bid in the amount of $44,385.00 for the purchase and installation of the new video/security equipment; and 

            WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Puffin Electric of Homer, Alaska from the City of Homer. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the contract for the purchase and installation of the new video/security equipment to the firm of Puffin Electric of Homer, Alaska in an amount not to exceed $44,385.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents, including the notice of award, construction contract, and other necessary agreements to successfully install this equipment. 

            PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 14^th day of May, 2007.
