WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS, Constructing a new water treatment plant is a very important capital improvement priority for the City and this improvement is directly related to the public health safety and welfare; and
WHEREAS, It has been determined by the City staff and engineering consultants that parcel number 173-053-08 is the only feasible and prudent location for the new treatment plant; and
WHEREAS, Parcel number 175-040-03, a City owned lot comprising ten acres adjacent to Karen Hornaday Park, was designated for sale and not needed for a public purpose by Ordinance 91-27 and the Council reconfirmed its intent to sell the property when it reviewed the Land Allocation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the owner of parcel 173-053-08 has indicated that she is not interested in a cash sale at this time and would prefer a trade for the parcel identified herein.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the proposed purchase agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein, and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
