A RESOLUTION OF THE
WHEREAS,
The Code Blue Grant Program provides funding for basic public health and safety
needs and is a cooperative process between the State of Alaska, Regional
WHEREAS, This year, the Homer Volunteer Fire Department would like to apply for funding to replace its old Physio Control LifePak 12 monitor defibrillators with new state of the art units that transmit vital data to the emergency room while the ambulance is still in transit; and
WHEREAS, The estimated cost of the new equipment is $40,000 after the City receives a trade in allowance of $8,000 for each of the old monitors; and
WHEREAS, A local cash match is required in order to demonstrate community support and commitment to the program and points are awarded based upon the size of the match.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby pledges to provide a local cash match in the amount of twenty percent (estimated to be $8,000) if the grant is awarded.
