HOMER,
A RESOLUTION OF THE
WHEREAS, The City of Homer has expressed interest in
renewable energy production; and
WHEREAS, The Climate Action Plan adopted by the Homer
City Council recognizes the value of producing renewable/alternative energy at
the local level; and
WHEREAS, The City and its Citizens will benefit from
increased local production of non-fossil fueled electrical power generation;
and
WHEREAS, The average
annual electrical load on the local utility infrastructure has increased each
year; and
WHEREAS, Local business owners would be more likely to
undertake renewable energy production if the City provided incentives to do so;
and
WHEREAS, Each business in the
city has a restriction on displayed signage area; and
WHEREAS, Extra signage allowance for an existing
business will have no effect on city revenues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a licensed
business entity operating within the City of
PASSED
