RESOLUTION 08-104
A RESOLUTION OF THE
WHEREAS, The Alaska Department of
Transportation and Public Facilities and the Federal Transit Authority require
the development of a coordinated transportation plan for the area in which
funds are to be utilized; and
WHEREAS, The Alaska Department of
Transportation and Public Facilities and the Federal Transit Authority require
that the plan have an endorsement from the local public entity; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Coordinated
Transportation Task Force has developed a Homer Area Coordinated Transportation
Plan; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Coordinated
Transportation Task Force is composed of individuals and agencies from the
Homer area who have an interest in public transportation; and
WHEREAS, Membership on the Homer
Coordinated Transportation Task Force was open to any individual or entity that
was interested in public transportation; and
WHEREAS, The process and meetings
held for the development of this plan have been open to the public; and
WHEREAS, The Homer Transportation
Task Force request the support of the
City of Homer for the following projects as this years priorities under the
Homer Coordinated Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS,
Independent Living Center (Homer) is applying for $120,000 for two years, to
purchase rides for seniors and disabled individuals from the State of Alaska
Department of Transportation and Public Facilities grant application due 9/30/08;
and
WHEREAS, This plan leaves open the opportunity for
continued public involvement.
