RESOLUTION 08-111

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AWARDING SANDRA THOMPSON A CAR RENTAL CONCESSION LEASE AT THE HOMER AIRPORT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND SIGN A LEASE FOR SPACE 104 AT THE HOMER AIRPORT TERMINAL.

 

             WHEREAS, The Homer Airport has two available concessions spaces for lease, space number 104 for 101 square feet and spaces 105/106 for 203 square feet; and

 

WHEREAS, A Request for Proposal was advertised in the Homer News on September 25, 2008, Homer Tribune on October 1, 2008 and Peninsula Clarion on September 28, 2008; and

 

            WHEREAS, The RFP period closed on October 9, 2008; and 

 

            WHEREAS, Only one proposal was received from Sandra Thompson doing business as Homer Alaska Car Rental for concession lease space 104; and

 

             WHEREAS, The Homer Airport Terminal Manager has requested the City Manager to approve a car rental concession lease for Sandra Thompson at the Homer Airport Terminal.  

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, hereby awards the Request for Proposal to Sandra Thompson for a Car Rental Concession Lease and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and sign a Car Rental Concession Lease for space 104 at the Homer Airport Terminal.

 

             PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 27th day of October, 2008.
