RESOLUTION 08-118

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR PRE-CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE HOMER WATER MAIN HYDRO-POWER PROJECT TO THE FIRM OF BRISTOL ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES CORPORATION OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,000 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, Public Works has established a scope of work, budget and schedule for the preconstruction services for the Homer Water Main Hydro-Power Project; and

WHEREAS, The City has a term contract with Bristol Environmental and Engineering Services Corporation (BEESC), of Anchorage, Alaska, and the firm is considered most qualified to complete the work; and

WHEREAS, Public Works has reviewed and approved a proposal from BEESC and determined that a reasonable cost for this work is $39,000; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by BEESC of Anchorage, Alaska, from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, hereby awards the preconstruction services for the Homer Water Main Hydro-Power Project to the firm of Bristol Environmental and Engineering Services Corporation of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $39,000 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 24th day of November, 2008.
