RESOLUTION 08-35

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN ALL TERRAIN UTILITY VEHICLE TO HOMER SAW AND CYCLE OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,999.99 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS. 

 

            WHEREAS, A Request for Proposals was sent to all South Central Alaska Polaris dealers for an all terrain utility vehicle; and

 

            WHEREAS, The Request for Proposals specified the all terrain utility vehicle as a 2008 Polaris 6x6 Ranger; and 

 

            WHEREAS, The Request for Proposals included equipping the all terrain utility vehicle to specifications required for beach patrols; and

 

            WHEREAS, The lowest responsible and responsive Bidder is the firm of Homer Saw and Cycle of Homer, Alaska, submitting a bid in the amount of $13,999.99 for the purchase of a new 2008 Polaris 6x6 Ranger; and 

 

            WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Homer Saw and Cycle of Homer, Alaska from the City of Homer. 

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby awards the contract for the purchase of the 2008 Polaris 6x6 Ranger all terrain utility vehicle to the firm of Homer Saw and Cycle of Homer, Alaska in an amount not to exceed $13,999.99 and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents. 

 

            PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 10th day of March, 2008.
