RESOLUTION 08-58

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2008 – 2010 PUBLIC WORKS GRAVEL SUPPLY TO THE FIRM OF DIRTT CO., LLC OF ANCHOR POINT, ALASKA, FOR WINTER SAND AT $14.00 PER CUBIC YARD, 2” MINUS GRAVEL AT $15.50 PER CUBIC YARD, D-1 GRAVEL AT $18.75 PER CUBIC YARD, AIRPORT SAND AT $19.50 PER CUBIC YARD AND TYPE II GRAVEL AT $11.75 PER CUBIC YARD AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer Tribune on April 2 and 9, 2008, sent to two in-state plans rooms, and posted on the Clerk’s website; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Four sealed bids were received and DIRTT Co., LLC of Anchor Point, Alaska submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid for Winter Sand, 2" Minus Gravel, D-1 Gravel, Airport Sand and Type II Gravel; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by DIRTT Co., LLC of Anchor Point, Alaska, from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, awards the contract for the 2008 – 2010 Public Works Gravel Supply to the firm of DIRTT Co., LLC of Anchor Point, Alaska, for Winter Sand at $14.00 per cubic yard, 2" Minus Gravel at $15.50 per cubic yard, D-1 Gravel at $18.75 per cubic yard, Airport Sand at $19.50 per cubic yard and Type II Gravel at $11.75 per cubic yard and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 12^th day of May, 2008.
