RESOLUTION 09-101

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE SNOW REMOVAL AND SANDING SERVICES FOR 2009/10, 2010/11, AND 2011/12 TO FRIGID NORTH SERVICES OF HOMER, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $537.00 TOTAL TRIP BID AND PURSUANT TO THE BID SCHEDULE SUBMITTED AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer Tribune on September 2 and 9, 2009, and posted on City Clerk's home page; and

WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2009 and five (5) sealed bids were received by the City Clerk's Office; and

WHEREAS, The lowest responsive and responsible bidder is Frigid North Services of Homer, Alaska, submitting the lowest bid in the amount of $537.00 total trip bid and pursuant to the amounts in the bid schedule submitted; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until notice is received by Frigid North Services of Homer, Alaska, from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, hereby awards the contract for the Snow Removal and Sanding Services for 2009/10, 2010/11, and 2011/12 to Frigid North Services of Homer, Alaska, in the Amount of $537.00 Total Trip Bid and Pursuant to the Bid Schedule Submitted and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 28th day of September, 2009.
