RESOLUTION OF THE
WHEREAS, The federal government requires that each state develop a new Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) every four years in order for it to remain eligible for federal transportation funding; and
WHEREAS, The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities recently issued a call for nominations for road and trail projects for inclusion in the 2010-2013 STIP; and
WHEREAS, The call for nominations also requested help in revising and updating the Transportation Needs and Priorities in Alaska List (Needs List); and
WHEREAS, The call for nominations states that any project on the Needs List not currently under development must be resubmitted so that it can be added to a new Needs List and scored as a potential STIP Project eligible for funding; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has reviewed the current Needs List and recommendations submitted by the City administration.

The City Council finds the upgrading of the
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Homer City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate forms and nominate the following projects for inclusion in the 2010-2013 STIP.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED if both the
