RESOLUTION 09-58

A RESOLUTION Of the City Council of Homer, Alaska, awarding the REBER TRAIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT to the firm of ARNO CONSTRUCTION OF KACHEMAK CITY, ALASKA in the amount of $142,984.00 and authorizing the city manager to execute the appropriate documents.

WHEREAS, The City Council approved the acceptance of a State Legislative Grant and authorized expenditures from the Homer Accelerated Road and Trail fund for the design and construction of this project; and

WHEREAS, The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer Tribune on May 7 and May 14, 2009 and the in the Peninsula Clarion on May 10, 2009, sent to two in-state plans rooms, and posted on the Clerk’s website; and

            WHEREAS, Sealed bids were due in the Office of the City Clerk by 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009; and

            WHEREAS, Three sealed bids were received and Arno Construction submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid for Reber Trail Construction Project; and

            WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by Arno Construction, from the City of Homer.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, awards the contract for the Reber Trail Construction Project to the firm of Arno Construction of Kachemak City, Alaska in the amount of $142,984.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 8^th day of June, 2009.
