A RESOLUTION
Of the
WHEREAS, The Library Advisory Board, Economic Development Advisory Commission, Port and Harbor Advisory Commission, and Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission each act in an advisory capacity to the City Manager and the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Due to the decline in the City’s revenues and the overall economic forecast, budget constraints are necessary to curtail staff time spent on preparing agendas and packets on a monthly basis; and
WHEREAS, It is prudent for the City to reduce the number of commission meetings in an effort to reduce expenditures and lessen the amount of staff time spent on preparation of materials for meetings and overtime wages for meeting attendance after hours; and
WHEREAS, It is recognized that the listed Board and Commissions will still be able to effectively act in an advisory capacity to City Manager and the City Council; and
WHEREAS, The following bimonthly meeting schedule will be enacted for the Library Advisory Board, Economic Development Advisory Commission, Port and Harbor Advisory Commission, and Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission:
