A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOMER, ALASKA CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE RUN OFF ELECTION HELD NOVEMBER 2, 1999 TO ELECT ONE COUNCILMEMBER.

WHEREAS, in compliance with the Homer City Code 4.35, the Canvass Board of the City of Homer has opened, counted, and tallied the votes on absentee ballots found to be valid and made determinations on questioned ballots, and has opened, counted, and tallied those questioned ballots found to be valid, cast in the Run Off Election held on November 2, 1999; and

WHEREAS, the total number of voters voting in the City Election reflect the number of voters not the number of votes cast; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Homer City Code 4.35, the Canvass Board of the City of Homer has opened and inspected the precinct reports, Counting Center Logs and entered the results of the absentee and questioned ballots on the Certification of Election along with the results of the precinct counts.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Homer, Alaska, that the Council hereby accepts and certifies the results of the Run Off Election for the City of Homer held November 2, 1999, as presented in the Certificate of Election by the Canvass Board, in accordance with the Homer City Code;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the following candidate having received the majority of the votes cast for the office of City Council, one - one year term, of the City of Homer is hereby declared elected:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Certificate of Election be attached permanently as part of this Resolution.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 22nd day of November, 1999.
