A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTACT THE APPROPRIATE REGULATORY AGENCIES NEEDED TO INSTITUTE A PASSENGER FACILITY CHARGE AT THE HOMER AIRPORT TERMINAL.
WHEREAS, the Homer Airport Terminal operations cost the citizens of Homer approximately 25,000 dollars in fiscal year 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Homer Airport Terminal operations cost the citizens of Homer approximately 22,000 dollars in 1998; and
WHEREAS, the Homer Airport Terminal operations cost the citizens of Homer an estimated 53,000dollars in fiscal year 1999; and
WHEREAS, the Homer Airport Terminal serves the needs of the entire Homer area; and
WHEREAS, user fees are a reasonable way to collect revenues for these services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska by this Resolution hereby authorizes the City Manager to contact the appropriate agencies needed to institute a passenger facility charge at the Homer Airport Terminal.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 22nd day of November, 1999.
