RESOLUTION 99-64

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING THE FY2000 MUNICIPAL CAPITAL MATCHING GRANT FOR THE NEW ANIMAL SHELTER AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has established the Municipal Capital Project Matching Grant Program under AS 37.06.010; and

WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has made available under this program Grant Number 00/569-9-001 for the New Animal Shelter for $102,500.00 with a local share of $28,240.00 provided by the City of Homer General Fund.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Homer City Council of Homer, Alaska, by this resolution, agrees to accept the above referenced funds for the purpose intended in this resolution, agrees to abide by the terms of the grant agreement for this project and authorizes the City Manager to sign the appropriate documents.

PASSED AND APPROVED by a duly constituted quorum of the City Council for the City of Homer on this 26th day of July 1999.
