CITY OF HOMER Library Director

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA ACCEPTING THE FY 2000 SENIOR EMPLOYMENT POSITION GRANT FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA DOA DIVISION OF SENIOR SERVICES, ALASKA COMMISSION ON AGING, IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,116 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the purpose of the Senior Employment Position grant is to expand the reach of library services to seniors and other homebound elders in the community; and

WHEREAS, this grant will assist in meeting two of the library's operation goals; to encourage reading and literacy through existing and new programs; and to coordinate library and information services with other information provides and agencies in the community.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska hereby accepts the FY 2000 Senior Employment Position Grant from the State of Alaska DOA, Division of Senior Services, Alaska Commission on Aging, in the amount of $8,116 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
