A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA AMENDING THE BUSINESS LICENSE FEE.

WHEREAS, Resolution 99-37 set the business license issuance fees as authorized by HCC § 8.02.040; and

WHEREAS, City Manager Drathman recommends that the City Council amend the original fee of $25 for issuance and renewal and $10 for amendment to a fee of $5 for issuance, renewal and amendment; and

WHEREAS, while the $5 will not cover the administrative costs for this program it is anticipated the increased sales tax revenue generated through implementation of the business license will pay for the administrative costs; and

WHEREAS, the business license fee was never intended to be a revenue source.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska amends the business license fee as follows:

Business License issuance $5.00

Business License renewal $5.00

Business License amendment $5.00

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 23rd day of August, 1999.
