A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING THE MUNICIPAL CAPITAL PROJECT GRANT FOR THE REPAIR OF WALKING SURFACES OF HARBOR RAMPS 4, 5 AND 7 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE GRANT AGREEMENT.

WHEREAS, the City of Homer requested the balance of grant funds for grant number 98-569-8-001 for the Deep Water Dock Fendering System Upgrade be reappropriated to repair the walking surfaces of ramps 4, 5 and 7; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Community and Economic Development, Municipal Capital Project Matching Grant Program has executed a new grant agreement number 00/569-8-002 for the repair of walking surfaces of ramps 4, 5 and 7; and

WHEREAS, the State share of the grant is $35,068.60 and the City will provide the local share of $9,662.00 from the Port Enterprise Fund.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Homer City Council of Homer, Alaska, by this resolution, hereby accepts the Municipal Capital Project Matching Grant for the Repair of Walking Surfaces to Ramps 4, 5 and 7 and authorizes the City Manager to sign the grant agreements.

PASSED AND APPROVED by a duly constituted quorum of the City Council for the City of Homer on this 11th day of October 1999.
