Candidate's Statement (reproduced exactly as submitted)
As a parent and business owner in Homer, I am seeking a second term representing the community at the Council table. I have worked on water/sewer policy, CARES Act funding, capital projects, budgeting and more during my first term. I am dedicated to local government, working for a stable foundation of services for the benefit of Homer's citizens, nonprofits, visitors, and business community. After one term, I now bring the experience of the past several years that are invaluable in working through complicated questions facing the City on budget, policies, capital projects, and more. I am excited to continue working together on sound fiscal policies, smart capital projects to improve our roads, sidewalks, and trails, and comprehensive assessments of our services and plans to create opportunity and positive actions to support everyone living and working in Homer. Our community is wide ranging in beliefs and experiences. I believe that great local government requires listening, learning, and working together with public engagement in a transparent public process. I am a moderate, hardworking, dedicated member of the community and I hope to serve a second term on City Council.
