Ten Minutes of Your Time Can Help Strengthen Homer's Economic Future. Participate in the CEDS Survey

Letters SWOT chalked on blackboard

The Kenai Peninsula Economic Development District is reminding Homer folks to take a brief survey to help them update the Kenai Peninsula's 2026 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).

Don't let the October 31st deadline sneak up on you—mark your calendars in orange and black!

The CEDS is a roadmap to foster responsible and sustainable economic development on the Kenai Peninsula. creating jobs, supporting businesses, and building a stronger Kenai Peninsula economy. Share your ideas about Homer's business strengths, weaknesses, best opportunities and threats. No economics degree required - just your perspective as someone who lives and works here! Your input will help shape the CEDS strategies.

The survey should take approximately ten minutes and can be found at  www.kpedd.org/CEDS/ or follow the QR code.

How does the CEDS help the Kenai Peninsula?  It provides a strategic plan built on the strengths of the region as well as identified gaps in resources or expertise that need to be addressed to diversify and strengthen the region’s economy.

  • The CEDS process can make the region more resilient and better positioned to plan for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters and economic shocks.
  • It can facilitate regional collaboration, expand supply chains, and grow and support new industry clusters.
  • It strengthens efforts to secure Federal funds and technical assistance for projects that advance economic development.

Thank you for participating!
