The Homer Volunteer Fire Department recently honored its members at their annual awards banquet. Chief Dan Jager proudly recognized promotions, years of service, and individual achievements that reflect the commitment, professionalism, and sincere compassion the team brings to serving the community.

The department celebrated Lioba Menger and Nathan O’Connor as Volunteers of the Year, Derek Haws as Firefighter of the Year, and Captain Chelsea Marsh as the EMS Provider of the Year. Finally, Chief Jager recognized members for significant milestones in their years of service: Stephanie Drescher – 5 years, Arn Johnson – 10 years, Lieutenant Barrett Moe – 15 years, and Doug Van Patten – 35 years.

We are grateful for the services provided by the members of the Homer Volunteer Fire Department and congratulate them on their significant dedication and accomplishments.
