Library Open House & Anniversary Celebration!

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Homer Public Library building at 500 Hazel Avenue! As we commemorate the last two decades in this location, we invite you to join us in celebration at the library open house.

Saturday, September 19th from 2 - 5pm

Come participate in the scavenger hunt, listen to a special storytime or take a tour behind the scenes. Visit BOB the bookmobile and explore the western lot. Enjoy a cupcake. Wander through the library history display and see some of the unusual items available for checkout. Chat with the Library Advisory Board, the Teen Advisory Board, the Friends of the Library or a City Councilmember. Sign the guestbook and add some beads to your necklace. Watch the presentation about the library's past and future. Wrap up the afternoon by witnessing the sealing of the library time capsule, to be opened in 2046.
