Subject: Energy Audit – City Buildings
Consultant Selection Recommendations
Public Works received three proposals in response to the City’s request for proposal (RFP). The review committee evaluated the proposals and ranked them based on the criteria set forth in the RFP. Siemens Industry, Inc. was determined to be the most qualified.
The City Council has accepted an Alaska Small Cities Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant in the amount of ($227,800); authorized a $15,000 Sustainability Fund, and created a Revolving Energy Fund ($300,000) to provide funding for this project. Total funding available is $542,800.
Recommendation: The City Council award the Energy Audit/Energy Performance Contracting Services contract to Siemens Industry, Inc. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate a final work scope, schedule and budget and execute the contract within the budget described above.
