MEMORANDUM 10-56
TO: Mayor Hornaday and Homer City Council
THRU: Walt Wrede, City Manager
FROM: Rick Abboud City Planner, Julie Engebretsen, Planning Technician
DATE: April 7, 2010
SUBJ: Ordinance 2009-40(S)
Introduction
At the March 22 City Council meeting, several changes were made to the Comprehensive Plan. The minutes with those changes are attached to this memo.
There were also several changes made to the land use recommendations map. At the meeting there was some question as to where city services were available along West Hill, and East End Road. Water and sewer information has been provided.
Staff recommends: Council look at the water and sewer information and the relationship to the transition zone. At the last meeting, the motion made to amend the map excluded the Hillside acres water and sewer local improvement district area from the Transition zone. The map was changed to show future rural residential use. If this was not the intent of Council, a motion is needed to change the area back to Transition.
Staff will attend the committee of the whole and the regular meeting and will be available to answer questions.
