TO: Mayor Hornaday and Homer City Council
FROM: Transportation Advisory Committee

SUBJECT: A Petition to the City of Homer from Businesses and Residents in Old Town Re: Bishops Beach Area Traffic Control Measures
The Transportation Advisory Committee discussed the above mentioned petition for Bishops Beach Area Traffic Control measures.
The Committee unanimously supported the requests for 3 way stop signs at the intersection of Bunnell Avenue and Beluga Place, and also speed bumps if the Public Works department feels they can be installed in a manner that is acceptable to their maintenance needs.
The Committee also requested consideration of increased Police presence to enforce the posted speed limit for the area.
Fiscal Note: Cost for signs and staff time.
