Construction Contract Award Recommendations

The City opened bids for this project on June 22, 1012, 3 bids were opened and read:

Jay-Brant Contractors LLC was found to be the low responsive bidder. Public Works has reviewed the qualifications of Jay-Brant Contractors LLC. and finds that the firm is qualified to complete the work. The project is funded primarily by a CCIAP grant; the City’s local bidder’s preference does not apply.

This contract, if awarded to the low responsive bidder.

Recommendations:

The City Council award the construction contract for the Deep Water Dock Fender Replacement to Jay-Brant Contractors LLC, of Anchorage, Alaska in the amount of $2,228,412; and authorize the City Manager to execute all appropriate documents to complete construction.
