SUBJECT:         Award Purchase of 2015 Ford F-550 Truck

Discussion

The 2015 Public Works Capital Budget contains $50,000 for the purchase of a new 2015 Ford F-550 plow/sand truck, and plow blade. The plow blade will be purchased separately from this bid.

Bid packets for this purchase were sent to (3) area Ford Dealers.  Bids were due to Public Works by January 8th and three dealers responded with bids. The Flat Bed accessory was bid as an Additive Alternate.  The results of these submitted bids are.

Recommendation

City Council pass a resolution awarding the purchase of this work truck without flatbed to Worthington Ford, 431 Unga Street, Anchorage, AK 99501, in the total amount of $ 36,367.00.

Fiscal Note

This purchase is budgeted in the Public Works Fleet Fund Account 152-0383-5902.

The remaining approved balance shall be used for the purchase and installation of a snow plow, and the purchase of a flatbed for the new truck.
