SUBJECT:          AML POSITION STATEMENT              

Accompanying this memorandum is a copy of the AML Position Statement that was adopted at the 2015 AML Annual Conference.  AML is asking municipalities to review the Position Statement and submit a resolution if any amendments are recommended. Resolutions need to be received by August 12th and the Position Committee will review them at the AML Summer Conference.   The Committee will present final recommendations to be voted on by the membership at the 2016 AML Annual Conference in November.

RECOMMENDATION:  

Review the AML Position Statement and forward any proposed amendments to the City Manager by Tuesday, August 2nd.  If any amendments are proposed a resolution will be prepared for Council’s consideration at the August 8, 2016 regular meeting.
