Ordinance 10-18 Amending the FY2010 Budget for Redesigning, Developing, and Implementing the City of Homer Website

ORDINANCE 10-18

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE FY 2010 OPERATING BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING $20,000.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND RESERVES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REDESIGNING, DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING THE CITY OF HOMER WEBSITE.

WHEREAS, The Homer City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of Homer to have an attractive, informative, user friendly website that utilizes up-to-date technology, features and capabilities; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 09-117 authorized the issuance of a Request for Proposals for redesign, development and implementation of the City of Homer website; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 10-26 awarded the contract for Website Redesign, Development and Implementation to the firm of Aha Consulting, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $20,000 and authorized the City Manager to negotiate the contract and prepare the appropriate documents.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

Section 1. The Homer City Council hereby amends the FY 2010 Operating Budget by appropriating $20,000.00 from the General Fund Reserves for the purpose of redesigning, developing and implementing the City of Homer website as follows:

Section 2. This is a budget amendment ordinance, is temporary in nature, and shall not be codified.
