ORDINANCE 10-44
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING A 2010 INTEROPERABLE EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS GRANT TO THE CITY OF HOMER PORT AND HARBOR FROM THE ALASKA DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT (DHS&EM) IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,400 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, The DHS&EM awarded a 2010 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant to the City of Homer Port and Harbor in the amount of $17,400; and
WHEREAS, The grant is intended to enhance the ability of the Port and Harbor to achieve meaningful and measurable interoperability improvements for public safety communications.
WHEREAS, DHS&EM is purchasing the radios and will supply the City of Homer Port and Harbor.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:
Section 1. The Homer City Council hereby accepts a 2010 Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant to the City of Homer Port and Harbor from the DHS&EM in the amount of $17,400, with DHS&EM supplying the radios to be used to enhance public safety communications at the Homer Port and Harbor.
Section 2. This is a budget amendment ordinance, is temporary in nature, and shall not be codified.
