Ordinance 13-13 Accepting an Online With Libraries (OWL) Grant for Two Early Literacy Stations

ORDINANCE 13-13

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING AN ONLINE WITH LIBRARIES (OWL) GRANT FROM THE ALASKA STATE LIBRARY IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,906.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING TWO EARLY LITERACY STATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, The Homer Public Library has received an OWL grant to fund two early literacy stations; and 

WHEREAS, The grant is in the amount of $5,906.00 and will be used for software and equipment for the early literacy stations.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Homer Ordains:

Section 1. That the City Council hereby accepts and appropriates an Online With Libraries (OWL) grant for two early literacy stations as follows and hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designee to execute the appropriate documents:

Section 2. This ordinance is a budget amendment only, is not of a permanent nature and is a non code ordinance.
