Ordinance 18-13 Authorize Additional Funds for WWTP HVAC Rehabilitation Project

ORDINANCE 18-13

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE 2018 OPERATING BUDGET BY AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF AN ADDITIONAL $92,592 FROM THE SEWER RESERVE FUND TO COMPLETE the Wastewater Treatment Plant HVAC Rehabilitation project.

                WHEREAS, City Council, in the FY 2018 Operating Budget, approved a capital project expenditure of $280,000 from the Sewer Reserve fund for the rehabilitation of the HVAC system at the wastewater treatment plant; and

                WHEREAS, Public Works coordinated the design, advertised bids, and opened bids for the rehabilitation project. Based on the lowest bid, the cost of the project exceeds the previously authorized project budget (see Memorandum 18-030 from Public Works).

                NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

                Section 1.          The Homer City Council hereby amends the FY 2018 Operating Budget by appropriating an additional $92,592 from the Sewer Reserve Fund for the Wastewater Treatment Plant HVAC Rehabilitation project.
