Stormwater Management Projects

The city has hired Coble Geophysical LLC to design stormwater management projects using green infrastructure and natural systems to improve water quality, and prevent flooding and erosion.  These four projects are mostly in the conceptual phase but are being actively pursued.  Click on the buttons below to explore maps of each idea.

Lunch with Councilmember Rachel Lord

Friday night Oct. 28th

Please join us for 1 of 2 Fire Safety demonstrations & tours from 6-7:30 pm or 7:30-9 pm to talk to Fire Chief Mark Kirko.
We will also have home fire safety demos, station tours, followed by hot chocolate & cookies and free drawings for HOME SAFETY GIFT BASKETS.

SPOOK-tacular Storytime

It's spooky season at the Homer Public Library! Join us for two special-edition Storytimes:

Wednesday, October 26th @10:30am: Fairytales, with a special guest reader. Don't miss this enchanting storytime! For families, kids ages 2-6.

Friday, October 28th @10:30am: Calling all goblins & ghosts! Join us for a Halloween Storytime, for families with kids ages 0-6. Costumes welcome!

The library will be closed for Alaska Day on Tuesday, October 18th. The library will reopen on Wednesday, October 19th at 10:00am.
