Ben Walters

Ben Walters is a phenomenal local park in a great location. Just off of Ben Walters Lane, next to McDonalds, it hosts seasonal restrooms, parking, trash receptacles, picnic tables, a covered kiosk, a swing set (with a playground coming in 2019), a covered gazebo with fire pit and benches, and a float dock on the banks of Beluga Lake. Great for float plane watching, or take in plenty of local wildlife. Beluga Lake is a Critical Habitat Area, hosting moose as well as a whole host of migratory sea fowl. In the winter time, the elements can provide great access to outdoor skating, with a warm fire, restrooms, and comfort food nearby!
