RESOLUTION 11-084

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL DECLARING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2011 AS BLUE AND GOLD DAY IN HOMER, ALASKA.

WHEREAS, The students of Homer High School would like to increase school spirit; and

WHEREAS, Homecoming, a time-honored tradition, is September 24, 2011; and

WHEREAS, The City of Homer has individually shown support with funding, attending, chaperoning, as well as advertising for school events, such as Homecoming; and

WHEREAS, A city-wide Blue and Gold day would increase community support for Homer High School, creating a greater school spirit; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Homer City Council hereby declares Friday, September 23, 2011 as Blue and Gold day in Homer, Alaska.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 22nd day of August, 2011.
