Resolution 14-091 Awarding the Contract for City Council Strategic Planning to UA Center for Economic Development

RESOLUTION 14-091
 

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR STRATEGIC IMPLEMENTATION PLANNING FOR THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL TO THE UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA, CENTER FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $7,000, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

               WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy, proposals were solicited from three Alaskan organizations; and

               Whereas, Proposals were due on August 1 and three proposals were received; and

               WHEREAS, Proposals were studied by a review team who determined the University of Alaska Center for Economic Development to be the most qualified to complete this work; and

               WHEREAS, The cost of this project falls within the City Council Professional Services budget; and

               WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification of award is received by the University of Alaska Center for Economic Development from the City of Homer.

               NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, approves the contract award for Strategic Implementation Planning to the University of Alaska Center for Economic Development in an amount not to exceed $7,000 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

               PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 8th day of September, 2014.
