RESOLUTION 17-016

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE HOMER HARBOR HIGH MAST LIGHT LED CONVERSION PROJECT TO THE FIRM OF PUFFIN ELECTRIC, INC. OF HOMER, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $168,423 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

                WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy the Request for Proposals was advertised in the Homer News December 15 and 22, 2016, the Peninsula Clarion on December 18, 2016, and the Alaska Dispatch News December 18, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Bids were due on January 30, 2017 and five bids were received; and

WHEREAS, Puffin Electric, Inc. of Homer, Alaska, was found to be most responsive; and

WHEREAS, The bid is within the project budget approved by the City Council.

WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by the firm from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, awards the contract for the Homer Harbor High Mast Light LED Conversion Project to the firm of Puffin Electric, Inc. of Homer, Alaska, in the amount of $168,423 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents necessary to complete this project.

                PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 13th day of February 2017.
