RESOLUTION 17-022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE OPERATION OF FISH PUMP SERVICES ON THE HOMER PORT AND HARBOR FISH DOCK TO THE FIRM OF ICICLE SEAFOODS, INC. OF HOMER, ALASKA, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy the Request for Proposals was advertised in the Homer Tribune February 16 and 23, 2017 and posted on the City’s webpage; and
WHEREAS, The Request for Proposals was seeking proposals from qualified individuals or firms to enter into a five-year agreement with the City of Homer Port and Harbor to operate one of the two fish pump transfer services on the City’s Fish Dock; and
WHEREAS, Proposals were due on March 2, 2017 and three proposals were received; and
WHEREAS, Icicle Seafoods, Inc. of Homer, Alaska, was found to be most responsive for the operation of a fish pump at the North Trestle location; and
WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by the firm from the City of Homer.
WHEREAS, The City will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Icicle Seafoods, Inc. for the purpose of installing and operating a fish pump under the dock and at the dewatering and tote loading station on the North trestle of the Homer Fish Dock for a contract term of three years with two one-year options.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, awards the contract for the Operation of Fish Pump Services on the Homer Port and Harbor Fish Dock to the firm of Icicle Seafoods, Inc. of Homer, Alaska, and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents necessary to complete this project.
