Resolution 17-031 Confirming Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer for CY 2017

RESOLUTION 17-031

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF ELIZABETH WALTON AS TREASURER AND JENNA DE LUMEAU AS DEPUTY TREASURER FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2017.

WHEREAS, Homer City Code §1.34.010 states that the Treasure and Deputy Treasurer shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the City Manager, that the Treasure and Deputy Treasurer shall be confirmed by the Council annually during the first meeting in January and whenever the appointment becomes vacation or whenever the City Manager deems it appropriate to change the appointment; and  

WHEREAS, On January 9, 2017 Council adopted Resolution 17-003 confirming the appointments of Jenna de Lumeau as Treasurer and Andrea Browning as Deputy Treasurer for calendar year 2017; and

WHEREAS, Jenna de Lumeau has be serving in the capacity of Acting Finance Director since the position was vacated by Zhiyong Li in December 2016; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Walton was hired as Finance Director in March, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Pursuant to HCC §1.34.010, City Manager Katie Koester hereby provides notice of Elizabeth Walton as Treasurer and Jenna de Lumeau as Deputy Treasurer for the Calendar year 2017.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska confirms the appointment of Elizabeth Walton as Treasurer and Jenna de Lumeau as Deputy Treasurer for the Calendar Year 2013.

                PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 10th day of April, 2017.
